Adam Crespi
I'm interested in the embedded software underneath autonomous vehicles and robotics: real-time scheduling, kernel internals, functional safety. Currently doing platform safety work at Rivian. Previously: blockchain infra, edge AI, autonomous robots.
Projects
- From-Scratch Coding Agent Harness + Local Inference In Progress → ENPH 479 capstone: a from-scratch coding-agent harness and self-hosted inference stack, measured for cost per solved task against existing agent harnesses on Terminal-Bench.
- Kernel-Level Real-Time Scheduling in FreeRTOS → Four real-time scheduling extensions implemented directly inside the FreeRTOS kernel, running on a Raspberry Pi Pico.
- Burger-Building Robots → Two autonomous robots built in six weeks for UBC's Engineering Physics Robot Competition, themed on the video game Overcooked.
- Autonomous Driving Competition → CNN-based image classification for autonomous drone control in a sign-following competition.
- Neural Network Reactive Lighting System → Edge AI on ESP32-S3 using TensorFlow Lite to interpret voice commands and control an LED lighting system in real time.
- Indexing Blockchain Data for Arbitrage → Self-hosted Polygon node and Rust block indexer that replaced a third-party RPC dependency, enabling real-time arbitrage detection across DEX liquidity pools on mainnet.
